ADSR #5 My M&M Tree

I have had this layout in my imagination for a long time. When Jacob was around 5 he would say "If M&Ms grew on trees, I would build a house and live in that tree". This was a perfect time to put this layout together with a photo I took last year. I love how it turned out.
Using:Digital Compilations by Cinda: 4Kay Kit (house frame, ribbon cluster, 2 brown papers)Eva Lindqvist Designs: A touch of Cocoa, Favorite colors, Heart Treasures, and Love Christ Kits (buttons and brads, wooden frame, staples, alpha)Meredith Cardall: Love My Tractor Kit (tree)

Challenge #6 Layout

This was really challenging for me as I don't normally scrap with flowers, ribbons or buttons. It was helpful though because as I was searching my hard drive for these elements, I was able to delete hundreds of files! In the beginning I thought that each element on the layout needed to be unique (which might explain why my layout looks like a train wreck), but you'll see I did use my buttons and brads twice. I used things from LOTS of different designers (and you can find credits in the NDISB gallery). I didn't have a current picture of me by myself to use, but Kay sent me this one that she took when she visited.

ADSR #3 Race Boy

This one was a challenge for me. I have never done this before and my computer was not happy with me for trying it. I love the effect though and will have to do it again. This is one of my favorite photos of my son over the last 11 years.
Used/ Claudi: Personality Kit & Michelle Batton: Let's Ride Kit (car elements and calendar)

Challenge #4 is up at Digitals

Welcome to Digitals! We are proud to be hosting an intersection, so we are asking the teams to collaborate on a set of 4 Valentine's themed ATC cards.

ATC's 1 & 2. Since its the season of love, each racer will make one Artist Trading Card on the theme "The One I Love." Think of your spouse or significant other, children, God, pets, friends, etc.

ATC's 3 & 4. Then each racer will make one trading card honoring their ADSR teammate.

You must upload all 4 cards in ONE combined preview image to the ADSR forum at NDISB:
And we would love to see them here in our Digitals ATC gallery as well:

Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are 3.5" x 2.5" mini-layouts. They can be horizontal or vertical orientation. They are meant to be light-hearted, humorous, and often have an altered look. They often have a partial picture and a small amount of text, the rest is decorative. Have fun with it!

There are no specific elements, journaling or photo requirements.

Challenge #3 - Selective Color

As I looked through my photos for this challenge this morning, I got excited about doing selective color on Emery's birthday candles! I'm assuming it's OK to use multiple photos on multiple dates for this challenge. Find my credits in the ADSR gallery.

Challenge #3 is up at Scrappers Online

Welcome to Scrappers Online. Some of you may have never visited us before. Yes, we have forums. And yes, we have a gallery. But really, what we are all about is learning. We ourselves are constantly trying to grow as scrappers, and would like to share that journey with others. We are trying to collect tutorials for all the different software packages out there, making us a central location for anyone who wants to learn about scrapping. And we're inclusive, we have forums for hybrid, paper and stamping too.

So I am sure it will come as no surprise to you then that learning is part of what our challenge is all about.

We would like you to do a layout that includes selective colouring. We have two tutorials here,
Selective Colouring in Photoshop, and Selective Coloring in Paint Shop Pro. Not that you are required to use these techniques, feel free to selectively colour any way you see fit. Our requirement is that your layout has a focal photo, and that photo has some selective colouring in it.

We would also like to see some journaling. Scrapbooking is about sharing experiences, and we'd like to hear a little about those experiences. So we ask that you include some journaling, at least 20 words worth. And no, captions, titles or dates don't count towards your 20 words. Let's have some fun with the journaling, playing with colour to highlight, or using tags or something to give selective emphasis to your journaling. Just put a selective focus on a couple of your journaling words in some way. Be creative!

Speaking of dates, we want to see them. Half a century from now, when I'm long gone, I'd like people be able to look at my layouts and know at least when stuff happened. We've already covered the "what" with journaling, let's tell the whole story! And not just typing the date somewhere on the page ... we know you all are closet date element hoarders out there, lets see some of those fun and funky elements! Show us when the event was, when you journaled, share a date or two with us!

All layouts must of course be posted at
NDISB challenge #3 gallery, but we ask that you also post a copy of your layout here in our ADSR 5 Gallery on our Challenge Wall.

Challenge #2 - Five Things

I photographed and extracted the cards (and confirmed that you can use multiples of the same photo). Paper and five heart elements from my Love Shack kit (available at Divine Digital and Faith Sisters). The five fonts in my title are Caslon Calligraphic Initials, Famous Label, Traveling Typewriter, It Ain't Rocket Science and You Are Loved.

- you're a real card (have a unique personality)
- you love Jesus
- you are a pleaser
- you still like to snuggle
- you have a thirst for knowledge

ADSR #2 I Love My Job

What fun! I loved this challenge. I really do enjoy my job. What other job can you go to every day and play on the floor, read stories, play with toys, eat snacks, and really appreciate nap time. I have 5 different flowers on the layout as well as 5 different fonts/Alphas, and the number 5 in the phone (in case you did not notice the large magnification of the photo--lol)

Using:Adrianna Hollenbeck: Everlasting Memories Kit (Black Alpha, beads), Funky Blobs Kit (Yellow Alpha, 2 background papers)Chelly Designs: Adorable Kit (pink and brown felt flowers, brown clip), Dollhouse Garden Kit (white and pink puffy flowers)Fonts: IMAGINATION (Crazy Girlz Blonde), Double-Fisted Rainbow Art (Mister Sirloin), Friendships (Grilled CHeese BTN-one of my favorites)

Challenge #2 is up at Digital Scrapbook Artisan Guild

Theme: 5 things I LOVE about....(choose a person, topic, idea, etc. Be Creative!)
Title: use a combination of 5 fonts and/or alphas (example: use 2 different fonts and 3 different alphas)
Photos: use 5 photos, one of the photos must have the number 5 in it!
Use 5 different elements of the same type (example: use 5 different flowers or 5 different buttons, etc.)

This is going to take some thinking! Thanks to Jay I know what my photo with the number 5 will be of. I've asked whether or not we can use 5 of the same photos or if it has to be 5 different photos. I guess I'm glad this challenge is up early and that we have a snow day...

This is my ADSR first layout. Getting to know Cinda has been and is going to be a lot of fun. Cannot wait to meet her in person next weekend. Loved looking through Cinda's Gallery for this layout. Her boys are too cute.I have used: Digital designs by Cinda,Spring, Summer, Fall kit (Box, flower, charm, twig, paisleys) Starfield sampler kit (preview page), Ocean Breezes Kit (sunset paper), Arts and Crafts kit (swirl)

Challenge #1 Kay of KC and the Sonshine

I love this layout that Kay did using my Football Frenzy kit (so much so that I turned it into a quick page)! I really like how she framed the papers, elements and journaling (I don't think I would have thought of doing that myself).

My scrap-lift uses a frame from my Football Frenzy kit (re-styled), papers and elements from my For Kay kit, house from my Love Shack kit (all available at Divine Digital and Faith sisters) and cross (re-colored) from the Celebrate Church Life Faith Sisters collaboration kit. Font is Pink.

First Challenge Hosted by NDISB

Welcome to Season 5 of the Amazing Digi Scrapping Race! NDISB is excited to kick off the race. To ease us back into the race, and to indoctrinate new racers, they've come up with a nice and easy challenge to get you started. Is that an oxymoron? Like jumbo shrimp? Easy challenge? In any case, they tried not to make it TOO challenging.

There are only three basic rules:

1) Your layout is about your partner. Introduce your partner to us. How you do this is entirely up to you. You can interview them, you can send them a questionnaire, you can use 5 words that best describe them, you can journal how you met for this race, or if you've been partners for years, you can make your page about a friendship that started with a crazy internet race and has since turned into so much more. The only rule is, the layout is about your partner and you need to tell us something about them.

2) You must include at least one photo of your partner. Large, small, color, b&w, of their face, back of their head, feet, whatever. But it must be a picture of your partner.

3) You must choose one layout from your partner's gallery and scraplift that as the page design for your layout. Only the placement of items is needed. You don't have to lift the colors, theme, etc. Just the overall placement of papers, elements, title and journaling.

Upload your completed layout to your NDISB gallery and link us to your partner's layout in whatever gallery you found it.
